Last Week of School

This will be my last post on the blog for the year. Wow!

Here are reminders about this week:

Tuesday is game day, students may bring a board or card game of their choice. (No Pie Face or other games of that nature)

Thursday & Friday are early release days at 11:30.

As the week goes along your child will be bringing home things from the classroom in their backpacks.

Also, no more reading logs for the year. I have collected all reading logs.

Thank you for allowing me to teach your child this year! I will truly miss this class!!

Field Day is Tomorrow

Tomorrow is our field day 12:30 – 2:30 and parents are welcome to come.

Please wear shorts, a t-shirt (no white shirts), socks and tennis shoes that you don’t mind getting messed up because they are going to get wet and muddy. Also, please bring a water bottle and a change of clothes (if they are not getting checked out early).

Week of 5/15-5/19

Only 2 weeks left! Wow!

This will be the last week for reading logs. We want to make sure we have all the books returned by Friday. We are also getting all our grades and work completed this week.

Please don’t forget that Friday is Field Day 12:30-2:30.

Field Trip

A note went home today with your child regarding our field trip next week. Due to the weather that occurred on Saturday we have had to change our field trip from Yesterland Farms on May 10th to Callie’s Acre on May 9th. We will still need your child to bring $5 to help cover the cost of the trip. If you have already sent $5, then it will count towards our trip to Callie’s Acre. If your child has not brought the $5, then please send it with them to school by Wednesday, May 3rd. Also, we have sent home another permission slip at the bottom of the note that went home today for Callie’s Acre and for a sack lunch. Please fill this out and return it as soon as possible. Thank you and we apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

Week of 5/1- 5/5

Spelling/Phonics- We will be working on various phonemic & spelling rules.

Reading– We will continue our ocean theme from last week.
