Tomorrow, April 29th our class is performing the CHAMPS Assembly, please make sure that your child is at school on time because the assembly starts at 8:00am.
Remember we also have a spelling test tomorrow so please study tonight.
*We will present our recycling projects in our classroom at 8:30. The students have worked so hard on them. They can’t wait to share them with you.
*We will leave on the bus at 9:00 to head to Penick Park.
*You may join us at the park, but you must drive your own car.
*Have your child wear tennis shoes and a White Oak shirt, if you have one.
*We will be outside all day, so apply sunscreen to your child before coming to school if you would like.
*Please send your child’s lunch in a disposable sack with their name on it. If you send a bottle of gatorade, label it as well.
*You may sign your child out at the end of the day. Please make sure to have that documented with their teacher.
*We will leave Penick Park to come back to the school at 2:00.
We have only 6 more weeks of school! Time is flying by! With that being said, we are running low on supplies. We are out of tissue boxes and glue sticks. If there is anyway you could send some to school with your child, that would be very helpful.

We will NOT have a spelling test this week, it will be next week. I have already given them their words so that they will have plenty of time to study them. They still have a math and reading homework page that they need to complete by Friday.
Earth Day is Friday, April 22 and we have planned a very fun day in honor of Earth Day. Please join us in our classroom at 8:30 while the students showcase their Recycling Projects that we have been working on the last few weeks. After that we will be going on a field trip to Penick Park. We will load the buses and leave the school around 9:00 in order to make it to the park by 9:15. (I had the students write in their planner’s the time and day but I told them Thursday instead of Friday.) Yes it is on Friday, not Thursday. We need parents to provide bait for fishing at the pond. (Corn, minnows, and worms.) There is a note going home today with all the information about the field trip and also a sheet attached asking that you check off whether your child has permission to go and whether or not they will need a sack lunch provided or if they will be bringing their own. If they bring their own lunch please make sure it is in a sack that can be thrown away, no lunch boxes.
